Dream of herding with your dog – and not sure where to start?
The herding world can feel like a secret society, with its own language, rituals, and handshake.
My mission at iHerd is to help you start off on the right foot as you begin your herding journey. Let me help you crack that code!

Hi! I'm Lisa
My goal has always been simple:
To make herding training more accessible for beginners. Whether you're dreaming of trial fields, having sheep of your own, or just exploring a new passion with your dog, I'm here to help!
I’m a (mostly) retired professional dog trainer of over 30 years, who’s spent decades helping handlers and dogs reach their full potential.
My dogs and I compete internationally and have numerous wins and placements including the Canadian Championship, Calgary Stampede, and Meeker Stock Dog Trial.
I'm a former president of the Canadian Border Collie Association. Before focusing on herding, I was heavily involved in the pet and sport dog training world, and was Vice President of the Association Of Professional Dog Trainers.
I know how frustrating it can be to have a herding dog, want to herd with it, and not know where to start. That’s why I created iHerd: not just to teach techniques, but to guide you through the process of building a real working partnership with your dog — let's channel those instincts!
