The herding world can feel like a secret society...
with its own language, rituals and handshake
My mission at iHerd is to help you start your herding journey with confidence, even if you feel like an outsider right now.
I break down the skills, terms, and traditions into clear, beginner‑friendly steps so you and your dog always know what to work on next. Let me help you crack the code and feel at home on the field.
Ready to go beyond the basics?
My foundation course, Herding Starts Here, walks you and your dog through the exact first skills you need on stock, step by step.

Hi! I'm Lisa
For 20 years I’ve been competing in USBCHA herding trials and helping everyday handlers turn “I hope my dog can do this” into confident, reliable work.
I’m a professional dog trainer with over 35 years of experience, and I treat training challenges like puzzles to solve. If you and your dog don’t fit the typical mold, that’s where I do my best work.
The herding world can feel intimidating, cliquey, or unsafe for beginners. My goal is to give you a supportive place to learn the basics, make mistakes, ask real questions, and build skills at your own pace.
If you’re curious about herding, trials, or just giving your dog a job, I’ll show you the next right step for where you are right now.
